PostFavortie Sonnets

My Personal favourite is the Prologue of Romeo and Juliet the story I have read myself not just for its Element of love but the Underlying conflict and Violence .

Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
Whole misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, nought could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

Sonnet 43
William Shakespeare
When most I wink, then do mine eyes best see,
For all the day they view unrespected;
But when I sleep, in dreams they look on thee
And, darkly bright, are bright in dark directed.
Then thou whose shadow shadows doth make bright,
how would thy shadow's form form happy show
To clear day with thy much clearer light!
how would, I say, mine eyes be blessed made
By looking on thee in the living day,
When in dead night [thy] fair imperfect shade
Through heavy sleep on sightless eyes doth stay!

All days are nights to see till I see thee,
And nights bright days when dreams do show thee me.

This is one of my favorites. Expect me posting a lot in this one. Poetry is one of my guilty pleasures.
